A few weeks ago, Ray Jordan, Chair of the Arthur W. Page Society Annual Conference shared a few thoughts about what excited him about this year's conference. With just about four weeks to go, I thought I would offer my perspective to add to his. And...as I work with our team on our conference marketing effort, I couldn't resist the opportunity to encourage those who haven't yet registered to consider attending-we have some terrific opportunities to network and a compelling agenda-all in one of my favorite cities-Chicago.

Our attendance number has already hit the 150 mark-this is a great turnout that reflects the relevance of this conference in this environment. Even more compelling is the depth and breadth of experience we will have in the room. We have representation from almost every industry, a number of CCOs from companies that have not been represented in the past, new members, educators and thought leaders. It is a timely and unique opportunity to discuss our experiences navigating through this extraordinary time. It should make for some very rich conversation! With the strength of our agenda, we are looking forward to what will hopefully be record attendance in September.

Speaking of the agenda, those who attend will hear personal insights and thought leading commentary direct from the C-Suite. With an unprecedented six CEOs on the agenda this year, the conference planning committee has pulled off quite a feat! I am hard pressed to think of another opportunity to engage with a group of CEOs such as these all in one event. I personally look forward to hearing their perspectives on the varied challenges they have each faced, how they have made tough decisions, their thoughts about managing the social impact of this difficult environment on stakeholders and their insight into how to successfully lead organizations through complex and uncertain times.

Many of us are also looking forward to welcoming the group to Chicago. September is the perfect time of year to take in all this great city has to offer in the way of culture, nightlife, dining, architecture and the list goes on. I wouldn't miss the tour of the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago- a welcome newcomer to the arts scene here, with a stunning collection and a stunning building. The Conference website has a number of resources you should take advantage of as you plan your trip.

Look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks and handing our United Airlines tickets over to the lucky winner!
